Oak Hills, CA is a small, suburban community located in San Bernardino County. Residents of Oak Hills have recently begun to enjoy the benefits of “ihug”, a unique “Friendship Lamp” system that enables people to stay connected over long distances.
The ihug system consists of two lamps that can be placed in two different locations. Each lamp is connected to the internet and can be controlled via a smartphone or computer. Whenever one of the lamps is touched, the other lamp lights up and a message is sent to the person who touched it. This message can be anything from a simple “hello” to an important reminder.
