Roseland, NJ, was recently the site of a special celebration as the local community celebrated the implementation of a new program aimed at bridging the gap between generations and promoting connections within the community. The program, called ihug Friendship lamps, is a set of two lamps that are connected wirelessly, allowing friends and family members to send digital “hugs” to one another.
The celebration was held at the local community center, where members of the community gathered to learn more about the program and how it works. Local residents were excited to learn that they could now connect with friends and family members in a new and unique way. The celebration began with a short presentation by the program’s founder, Lisa Miller, who explained how the lamps work and the benefits of using them.
The lamps themselves are designed with a simple set of controls that allow users to customize the color, brightness and intensity of the lamps’ light. Each lamp also features a range of emoticons that can be used to send digital hugs and messages to one another. When a lamp receives a message, it will light up in the sender’s chosen color, allowing the recipient to receive the “hug” from afar.
After the presentation, the celebration kicked off with a series of interactive activities that allowed the community members to get to know one another and share their stories. The activities included a friendly competition where each participant was asked to design a light show with their Friendship lamps. The winner was awarded a special prize, and the creativity and enthusiasm of all the participants was a testament to the power of the ihug Friendship lamps to bring people together.
At the end of the celebration, the Roseland community members left with a better understanding of the ihug Friendship lamps and how it can help bring people closer together. Thanks to this program, residents of the community can now stay connected with their friends and family even when they are far apart. As a result, Roseland is now a more connected community that can bring its residents closer together and strengthen the bonds of friendship.
